I moved countries when I was young, and that experience shaped how I came to understand identity, belonging, change, and what it means to find your place. I learned early how to adapt to different environments and expectations, and I also learned how easy it can be to keep going, keep achieving, and carry more than people realize without always stopping to ask what you need.
Over time, I became curious about the ways our experiences shape how we see ourselves, how we relate to others, and the choices we make. That curiosity is part of what led me to counselling. As a therapist, I am warm, curious, and collaborative, and I want therapy with me to feel like a real conversation.
You do not need to come in knowing exactly what is wrong or having the perfect way to explain it. We can start with what has been feeling heavy, confusing, repetitive, or simply different lately. Sometimes our work may be about understanding a pattern that keeps showing up. Sometimes it may be about a relationship, a transition, pressure, identity, confidence, boundaries, or a part of yourself you have not had much room to explore.
There is space for serious conversations, but therapy does not have to feel serious every second. There can be laughter, uncertainty, quiet moments, and even the relief of finally saying something out loud. I will be present with you, but I will also gently challenge you when it may help you see something differently.
You can be doing well and still feel unsettled. You can be grateful and still want more for yourself. You can be capable and still feel tired. You can be growing and still be figuring things out.
I think of my own journey much like a tree. Growth did not require me to leave myself behind. I have come to see growth as understanding what shaped you, becoming more intentional about what you want to carry forward, and allowing yourself to grow into who you are becoming without losing connection to yourself along the way.
That idea sits at the heart of Eden Noir Counselling. I created Eden Noir as a place to explore the parts of life that can feel difficult to name: the patterns, pressures, relationships, identities, expectations, transitions, and questions that shape how you move through the world. You do not have to fit neatly into one story here. Growth does not require you to leave yourself behind. Sometimes, it begins by understanding where you are rooted and deciding what you want to grow from there.
