Meet Maureen Killani
Founder & Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
I’m a warm, curious, and collaborative therapist — I want our work together to feel like a real conversation, not a clinical exercise.
Before opening Eden Noir, I spent 8+ years as a child and youth counsellor, and that whole-person lens shapes everything I do. I hold a Master of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a BA in Psychology from Saint Mary’s University. My approach is person-centred, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed, drawing on CBT, ACT, DBT, solution-focused, and mindfulness practices.
I work with adults (18+) — individuals and couples — navigating anxiety, overwhelm, life transitions, relationships, identity, and belonging, including immigrant and bicultural experiences. I’m LGBTQIA2S+ affirming, and I offer sessions in English and Yoruba.
You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what’s wrong or having the perfect words for it. We’ll start with what’s been feeling heavy lately — at your pace.
